Hey guys, @RandPaul was right and Fauci was wrong. The NIH was funding gain of function research in Wuhan but NIH pretended it didn't meet their "gain of function" definition to avoid their own oversight mechanism. SorryNotSorry if that doesn't fit your favorite narrative.

That is certainly my impression. Has Dr Fauci been asked to explain why the research does not meet the definition of gain of function in his view. Surely he should provide an explanation not just an answer.

So it’s not his definition. He doesn’t make that call. It’s a board called the NSABB which meets and considers each project individually and whether or not to fund it. It’s a board of renowned experts. Not just the one guy Paul found.
